Though the blooms are not painstakingly detailed, they are remarkably vivid,” he said. “Through Shen Ke’s explanation, I have not only appreciated the distinctive ink charm of the artwork, but also sensed the auspicious symbolism and humanistic spirit behind the peony. It has sparked my strong curiosity about the philosophical ideas embedded in traditional Chinese painting.”

It is reported that as a local cultural calling‑card, Heze peony paintings have been going global in recent years through exhibitions, painting salons and other overseas events.
